#TheRoundUp By Enzer - No. 59

HOT ON TV

Starring Penn Badgley (as Joe), Enzer’s World (E.W.)’s Outstanding Fictional Series for the Seventh E.W. Year, You is undeniably Greg Berlanti and Co.’s best work to date. Adapted from the book of the same name by Caroline Kepnes, the series follows a mildly psychopathic gentleman as he fights the universe for a young lady’s affection and attention.
Dear friends, the first season of the series (aired on Lifetime) kept me at the edge of my seat!
The lead actor (Penn) also won the Top Actor Recognition for the Seventh E.W. Year, and the show will be back on our screens later this year.
Let’s be thrilled, together.
Love Island has taken the world by storm! The recently concluded US and UK (E.W. Recognitions 2019 Winner) seasons of the show (airing on CBS and ITV2 respectively) were truly remarkable and satisfying.
I mean, imagine a villa full of gorgeous bikini bods and hairless hunks; now that’s admirable assortment.

HOTTER:

Regina Hall hosted the 2019 BET Awards on BET.
The theme that evening highlighted Washington D.C. and guess what, they pulled it off quite impressively.
Performances by Mary J. Blige, Lil Nas X, and Tyler Perry’s honor were some of the biggest moments.

Other series to catch up on: $100000 Pyramid on ABC, Dear White People on Netflix, BH90210 on FOX.

WEB TV:

An interesting take on the reality TV show dating genre is E.W.’s Outstanding Reality Web Series for the Seventh E.W. Year - You’re My Boooyfriend on The Zeus Network.
It’s not a perfect production by it's hella entertaining, especially for those with a knack for somewhat trashy reality programs.

Don’t miss out on E.W.’s T.V. Moments on Twitter and Facebook! Use the hashtag #EWTVMoments to view all of the selected videos.

A.I. UPDATE:

Maddie Poppe versus Laine Hardy?
I feel like both of these winners had no competition.
However, I still believe that Maddie Poppe is the better artist overall. Laine Hardy is yet to prove his worthiness.
…And the judges?
Well, Lionel Richie, Katy Perry, and Luke Bryan have their bad days or bad moments. Otherwise, they are doing a great job so far.
In case you were wondering, Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban, and Harry Connick Jr. are my all-time favorite judging panel. *hides*
Oh, and Ryan Seacrest won the Outstanding Reality TV Host 2019 recognition for his work on American Idol Season 17/2 on ABC.

E.W. GLOBAL:

E.W. Global’s Outstanding Fictional Series is Housekeepers on Mzansi Magic. The show’s writers (season one) exceeded all expectations by telling the uncommon story of housekeepers serving the affluent of Johannesburg. The scandalous story-lines with characters played by a crop of established actors will assuredly leave many in an indescribable state.

Another highly entertaining series which I am addicted to is quiz show, Impossible on BBC One. Playing along is so much fun and satisfies the nerdy side whilst enhancing my general knowledge base. #Totally

THROWBACK:

The Game
which first aired on The CW, and later moved to BET, is one of my favorite shows to binge-watch. The show, which explores the lives of footballers and the people closest to them, stars prominent actors Tia Mowry (Melanie) and Pooch Hall (Derwin), to name a few.

Is there any chance for a reboot?

SPEAK OUT

#Celebs

Cole Sprouse and Julie Bowen are E.W.’s Top Celebrities of the Seventh E.W. Year!

Cole Sprouse is famous for playing the role of Jughead on The CW’s Riverdale as well as on some Disney Channel classics, alongside his twin brother, Dylan. He is a phenomenal actor who truly is trend-worthy and inspiring to many young people.
Julie Bowen is an on-screen comic famous for playing the role of Claire on ABC’s hit comedy, Modern Family.
I believe that she is one of the many exceptional comedic actresses in Hollywood who’s been underrated for invalid reasons. Her delivery is objectively from a place of excellence, indeed.

Speaking of underrated actresses, Elizabeth Gillies who plays the role of Fallon on The CW’s Dynasty is a relatively new force to be reckoned with. Her performance on the show is magnificent, especially when she delivers that sassiness associated with rich kids of the millennial age. #Totally

IN THE NEWS

So Theresa May is out and Boris Johnson is in!

I think that it was rather unfair to evict Theresa May from 10 Downing Street because it (clearly) wasn't her fault that UK MPs were and still are indecisive.

With Boris Johnson at the helm, only one thing can be said; I smell a rat.

South Africans recently elected a new president. That occurrence proves yet again, that democracy is flawed especially when the democratic system is supposed to represent a population of different backgrounds, but never does.

And then came along Donald Trump with his homophobic, racist, xenophobic, sexist and other backward statements which have caught the attention of other Western leaders.

It (really) feels like we are part of a season of some hit political series on HBO, Netflix, Hulu or Amazon Prime, LOL.

NEW ON E.W.

The 7th Annual E.W. Independent Online Recognitions Period 2019 list of winners and list of nominees are out! Click on the link to open the pages: https://enzerworld.blogspot.com/p/7th-annual-ew-independent-online.html

In with the new!

Changes were made over the past couple of weeks, including the shutting down of some of the spin-off Twitter and Facebook accounts and the incorporation of E.W. sites.

Only one Twitter page remains active (Enzer’s World), as well as two Facebook pages (Enzer’s World and E.W. Global) and of course the Blogger site (where you are right now).

Here’s to a potent 8th E.W. Year.

‘til Next Time
