#TheRoundUp by Enzer - No. 23

HOT ON TV

A number of Enzer’s World (E.W.)’s top TV series usually get their season finales aired in May. Thankfully, we have the option to not sit through reruns all (American) summer because some smart executive decided to give a couple of good TV shows a thumbs up. One of those lucky shows is Orphan Black. If you haven’t heard about the series Orphan Black, please do us all a favor and switch off your television set (or whatever device you use) because clearly TV is not your friend, LOL.

Orphan Black, which airs simultaneously on BBC America in the United States and on Space Channel in Canada, is a Science-Fiction (Sci-Fi) series that taps into the world of cloning. That alone makes the series cooler that Vanilla Ice, LOL (I hope that’s a good joke).

Season one was the best. The introductory (pilot) scenes and the scenes that followed in the latter episodes of season one made it all make sense. I wasn’t so sure about the second season but hopefully the current season will convince me to continue following the series closely.

Tatiana Maslany: Where have you been?

If you’re wondering why I am close to worshipping this woman, watch the show! She is unbelievable! Who portrays more than five complex characters and remains sane? Her name is Tatiana Maslany
I don’t think she is human, I really don’t. She must be a clone too, or an alien! Welcome to the world of aliens Tatiana! You are soooo in! LOL.

MUSIC SPOT

Pop star Rihanna is buzzing because the songs FourFiveSeconds and American Oxygen are on repeat! I love her new music (well it’s no surprise) and I am excited to hear more of her new stuff. I hope she continues to release more music with a mature sound like the songs mentioned above. We’ve heard about her naughty side, her teenage years, her independence – it’s time for some deep ‘adult’ music. It might not appeal to younger people, but it’s worth trying. Hey! ‘Old’ people like music too, geez.

SPEAK OUT

Quotes:-

“Panic can cause confusion, believe in yourself and your faith.” – ZULU PROVERB

“Obstacles are those frightful things you see when you take your eyes off the goal.” – UNKNOWN

“The best thing about the past is that it’s over. The best thing about the future is that it’s yet to come. The best thing about the present is that it’s here now.” – RICHARD WAYNE BANDLER

AMERICAN IDOL ROUND-UP

Tyanna got eliminated! I’m not surprised because at this point of the competition, it’s anyone’s game. On the other hand, she could’ve lost the American vote because of her looks. She is not the hottest (or the most beautiful) person I’ve seen on TV, so compared to the rest of Hollywood, she was going to be on the disadvantaged side. However, that particular argument can be rendered irrelevant if the success of past winners like Fantasia and Scotty McCreery (who were not the best looking American Idol contestants) is taken into consideration. Yep! Her talented self is up there with those stars.

BEST PERFORMANCE:-  Jax - Human

Rayvon did well! After weeks of disappointing performances he finally pulled up his socks. Nick has blossomed into this hypnotizing artist. He reminds me of Chris Daughtry and David Cook.

HE SHOULD WIN! Yes, I put it out there!

Nick Fradiani is E.W.’s American Idol winner! I hope he doesn’t give me a reason to change my mind.
