SPEAK OUT
Calvin Harris is Enzer’s World (E.W.)’s Top Male Celebrity (globally) for the 3rd E.W. Year.
Why?
Because he is a top Electronic Dance Music Disc-Jockey (EDM DJ) that has sold millions worldwide, he rocks every festival he performs at, he is on every magazine cover (the ones we buy, right), he has a hot body and he is dating a gorgeous celebrity who the world just adores (except for Wendy Williams, allegedly) – Lol.
Calvin Harris is also British! Hey now! We love British men here on E.W. I mean who doesn’t? Robert Mugabe? - Lol.
Calvin is the third British male to win the Top Male Celebrity Recognition. Alex Pettyfer (famous for starring in the first Magic Mike film) and Tom Daley (the Olympic medal winning gay swimmer) were the first two winners for the first and second years respectively. I still can’t figure out why an American male hasn’t won that title yet. #PuzzlesMe
His music is on everybody’s playlist. He has collaborated with many of the entertainment industry’s relevant artists and he just keeps getting better. I really hope Calvin and girlfriend Taylor Swift are in the studio working on a pop/EDM collab. Surprise us man!

-Blame (feat. John Newman)
-Outside (feat. Ellie Goulding)

-How Deep Is Your Love (with Disciples)
Another top celebrity whose name is mentioned EVERYWHERE is a young hottie, Nick Jonas. Nick is currently the E.W. Recognitions’ top male celeb for the United States. He has also taken over the E.W. official blog (where you are right now).
We love him both dressed, undressed (LOL) and though his love life isn’t as fairytale-like as it should be we still think he makes amazing music. His transformation from this teen idol to an adult western pop act was one of note. I can’t wait to hear more music from his latest album.
Favorite Songs by Nick Jonas:
-Chains
-Jealous
-Levels
-Close (feat. Tove Lo)

“The habit of being uniformly considerable toward others will bring increased happiness to you.” – GRENVILLE KLEISER
“The world is a great mirror. It reflects back to what you are. If you are loving, if you are friendly, if you are helpful, the world will prove loving and friendly and helpful to you. The world is what you are.” – THOMAS DREIER
“The price of excellence is discipline. The cost of mediocrity is disappointment.” – WILLIAM ARTHUR WARD
HOT ON TV
The 88th Academy Awards also known as the Oscars which aired on ABC were not as good. Chris Rock was a great choice for a host but the ‘black’ jokes that he uttered during the whole telecast were ‘too much’. It was as if the producers took the YEAR off! What rubbish was that?
The stage was (however) impressive and the presenters killed it. I’m not going to talk about Stacey Dash and how old the Dolby Theatre looks. None of that ridiculousness deserves the spotlight – LOL.
The 2016 iHeart Radio Music Awards which aired on NBC in the United States were not as good as the 2015 edition as well. Ugh, this depresses me. Jason Derulo hosted the show.
Jason Derulo: NO.
He has a great personality but he failed at being the MC, and I knew that he would mess up. I know that these type of awards are supposed to be chilled and be similar to a huge party taking place at a friend's house down the street but becoming too chilled killed the whole system. Do you get it?
At least top celebs Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris had memorable moments. I hope that they are truly in love because if they aren’t, a lot of people will be disappointed.
The MTV Movie Awards aired a few weeks ago on MTV (globally) and were hosted by Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart. They were different and pretty cool actually. A lot of people were not impressed by the stage and venue but I thought it was unique and historical. It brought a fresh vibe to the awards and I can’t wait to see what MTV does with the upcoming VMAs as well. Good comments don’t mean it was fantastic, so hold your horses for now – LOL.
The Grammys which aired on CBS were better, not the best, but better. LL Cool J hosted again and, well, it was the same thing as last year. Is he ever going to bring something new to the table? If he hosts the Grammys again next year and it’s the same old cool hip-hop guy, the Grammys will be DONE.
Taylor Swift opened the show by singing one of my favorite songs of the year - ‘Out Of The Woods’ and a couple of artists paid tribute to Lionel Ritchie. He totally deserved that tribute. He was also going to be a great judge on American Idol but I guess it’s now too little too late (yes, I got that one from JoJo – LOL).
The 2016 Golden Globe Awards (hosted by Ricky Gervais) aired live from Beverley Hills on NBC earlier this year. Ricky Gervais and the proceedings made me miss Tina Fey and Amy Poehler less – THANK GOD. Chris Rock can never be able to do what Ricky Gervais did at the Golden Globes this year. The lad is so funny; his jokes could impregnate Ross Matthews in an instant. Though he is a little trashy (drinking on stage wasn’t really a good idea) he is good at livening up a group of people that could easily get bored by being at such a ceremony. The other aspects of the telecast were impressive. The GLOBES are a classy ceremony so there’s not much to worry about.
Did you enjoy the 2016 People’s Choice Awards as much as I did? The ceremony which was broadcast live on CBS took it to the next level. Hostess Jane Lynch opened the show in a very cool way and the performances by Jason Derulo and Shawn Mendes with Camilla Cabelo (from Fifth Harmony) were epic (yes, Jason Derulo should stick to performing pop music). The stage was glittery (not a bad thing at all) and the line-up of our favorite Hollywood stars was impressive. I expected a good show and that is exactly what I got. Well done to the team behind this special night. It was a success.
Hotter:
Still on televised awards shows, the 2016 Billboard Music Awards are coming up in May and will be hosted (once again) by Ludacris and RnB superstar Ciara. To be honest, I am getting bored of Ludacris. Ok, he is successful and everybody loves him but I feel like we’ve had too much of him around. Shouldn’t he be working on new music or something?
I can’t wait to see what Ciara does and wears on the night, though. Is she going to perform? Is she going to make out with her lover? Well, she’s not as crazy as Miley Cyrus so I guess she’ll keep it classy.
The producers of this show are great at what they do so I am not really worried about a lot and you shouldn’t be too (if you are passionate about this kinda stuff).
The Voice US is killing it! Season 10 recently aired its live Top 12 show and I enjoyed watching every minute of it. Though the coaches aren’t as good at their jobs, the contestants are beyond exceptional (all off them!) This show has really improved and has ignited a feeling of excitement that I just can’t describe in writing. Watch it and you’ll understand.
A show that you should definitely check out if you are into watching Europeans trying to sing American hits (LOL) is It Takes Two airing on RTL4 in The Netherlands. This series has me in a state of frenzy at the moment. The singers are by far the best on reality TV. The X-Factor, The Voice and Idols Series have got nothing on these Dutch men and women. #MustSeeTV
Throwback:
So now I’m finally going to talk about the American Idol Farewell Season which aired its final episode on April 7, 2016. I decided not to blog about each live episode because I was too sad that the show was not returning in 2017. Well, thank god, because the fifteenth or farewell season wasn’t as good as the season that aired before in 2015. The whole production was ‘rushed’ and the contestants weren’t the best except for one or two (it could’ve been the finalists).
The finale raised the bar, though. Contestants and judges from previous seasons showed up to pay homage to MOTHER IDOL and a guy called Trent Harmon beat out a girl named La’Posha Renae in the final showdown.
SIDE NOTE: They are both from Mississippi.
I cried a lot during the live finale. Yes, an American TV show finally got me to shed a tear.
Hey, I’m human too!
Our Idol celebration will continue on social media (of course). So, Hashtag #EnzerLovesIdol on Twitter or Facebook to check out some of our Idol favorites online.

IN THE NEWS
Have you guys been following the BREXIT stories? Well, President Obama recently urged Britons to vote against exiting the European Union (E.U.) in an upcoming voting period. He was heavily criticized by Britain’s opposition leaders for meddling in affairs that don’t concern the United States (the U.S. does that all the time people, read a book sometime - LOL). However, the British Prime Minister, David Cameron was pleased that a friend was honest enough to offer sound advice to his people. Obama later echoed the Prime Minister by mentioning that Britain would be better off in the E.U. than ‘alone’. What do you think?Moving on, I know this is out a little late but I couldn’t end this section without mentioning how good looking Canada’s ‘new’ Prime Minister is (assumed office in November 2015). His name is Justin Trudeau and he is the son of Pierre Trudeau, a former Canadian Prime Minister. He is proof that French men are still the best-looking people on the planet (he is French-Canadian) and that is not going to change for a long time. President Obama and Prince William can sit down now – LOL.
Another good thing is his cabinet. That cabinet gives so much hope for a better Canada (as if Canada is poorly governed) and I guess it sets a good example for other countries. Good luck Canada.
